The Toastmasters Club is firstly about effective communication. And, to put it very simple, when you are able to communicate effectively, you become an effective individual yourself. In every area of your life.
Taking part in the Club's activities and programmes will, among other things, help you develop the ability to organise your thoughts logically, think fast on your feet and, of course, speak confidently.
Being a member gives you ample opportunity to unleash your potential, both the obvious and the hidden, to its fullest. So that you can carry yourself with the confidence of knowing your strengths and your capabilities.

At the Toastmasters Club, you're encouraged to learn by doing. How to take the lead at meetings and gatherings. How to bring your point across clearly and effectively. How to inspire confidence in people, influence and win them over to your view point. How to be the kind of leader who moves and motivates.
And as you do it all, you're developing your leadership abilities and practising sound management techniques along the way. At the same time, too, you get to enjoy hours of entertainment, making new friends in a warm, friendly environment.

If past experience is anything to go by (and Toastmasters Club International has 83 years of that), being a member gives you ample opportunity to meet all kinds of people. Those of like mind and interests as you, or those with whom you'll discover new interests and leisure activities. Lifetime friendships have been forged at Toastmasters Clubs the world over.
With the Club's activities, you're all the time developing social skills that will stand you in good stead anywhere. You learn to entertain better, become the "life of the party" as it were, even as you're constantly expanding your social circle.

As you grow with the Club, developing your personal potential, your speech-making abilities, your leadership and interpersonal skills, you're also increasing tremendously your chances of getting ahead in your career.
You open up yourself to be recognised as a person willing to learn more about your strengths and weaknesses and improve yourself in the process. And all the skills that you're picking up at the club simply means that you're among those more prepared and primed to take up more challenging positions.
